Three generations of the Elsayed family have practised medicine. The Foundation carries their work on, for doctors and patients wherever care is scarce.
Our story
Medicine has run through the Elsayed family for three generations: a respiratory physician, two psychiatrists, an emergency physician and a spinal surgeon. Each of them learned from the doctors before them, and each went on to teach the doctors after them.
Mr Sherief Elsayed started the Foundation to carry that work on: to help doctors train where training is hardest to get, to fund operations that teach a whole team, and to help the public look after their health.
We believe the most lasting thing a charity can give a hospital is a better-trained team. So nearly everything we fund leaves skills behind, and we publish every grant we make so anyone can see where the money went.
